GreenPort magazine is inviting readers to have their say on the environmental demands in the port industry by joining its LinkedIn group or interacting with it on Twitter.
Both are a great way to keep up to date with the latest news and views being published on the www.greenport.com website, which caters for equipment manufacturers right the way through to port environmental officers and policy makers.
In addition, it’s a great way to share ideas for articles or comment on those which have already been published on the website. Readers may also make some new contacts and do some new business in the process.
Anne-Marie Causer, GreenPort editor, said: “We’re really keen to get all interested parties interacting in Twitter and by becoming a member of our LinkedIn group. Social media serves a dual purpose for us as a knowledge sharing platform and also as a springboard to help improve the content both online and in the magazine."
“For our readers, interacting with us online doesn't just mean catching up with all the latest news. It could mean making new contacts, sharing knowledge and maybe even doing some new business.”
She added GreenPort intends to step up its social media presence going forward.
As the GreenPort Congress approaches (6 to 9 October at Malmo Port in Copenhagen), users will also be able to follow all the action from the event on Twitter by following @GPCongress and using the hashtag #GreenPortCongress
